Database Analyst/Conversion Specialist
Description: Self starter needed to join our conversion team of professionals which specializes in conversion of law firm databases (multiple platforms) to our Legal Management System. Candidate will analyze databases, map database logic and instruct conversion programmers throughout the process to completion. Client contact regarding conversion issues and system reconciliations will be required.
Requirements: Accounting background (3 to 5 years) with financial system reconciliation responsibilities. Experience with database report writers and intermediate database layout/design is essential. Must be able to read/create database documentation for programming staff and client. The ability to handle multiple projects at once is essential.
Pluses: ODBC use and setup; SQL Server Management Studio (or equivalent); basic SQL knowledge (select data and simple joins); knowledge of law firm industry; experience with legal software (Juris, Omega, PCLaw, Elite, TABS, Javelin, Timeslips, Time Matters); and Microsoft Access and Excel.
Position: Conversion Programming Specialist
Description: SSelf starter needed to join our conversion team of professionals which specializes in conversion of law firm databases (multiple platforms) to our Legal Management System. Candidate will be responsible for writing programs for database mapping and validations, based on instructions from an analyst. Strong analytical skills are required.
Requirements: Programmer with 2 to 3 years of experience with advanced SQL experience (complex joins, view, and procedures). Must be able to read database documentation from the analyst and test and balance data conversion. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once is essential.
Pluses: RPG (III and ILE), CL, ODBC, IBM DB2, IBM iSeries knowledge, database experience, (T-SQL, SQL-PL, Microsoft ODBC); knowledge of law firm industry and experience with legal software is a plus.
Accounting Software Consultant
Description: Entry-level project manager to join our installation team of professionals visiting law firm client sites throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. This position is responsible for the project implementation of our accounting/financial management software, acting as the firm representative at the client site.
Requirements: B.S. in Accounting, Excellent communication/people skills, Commitment to learning, Willingness to travel 50-60%, Project management skills, Basic computer skills – Excel experience a plus, Self-motivated, Independent thinker, Knowledge of law firms a plus.
Accounting Software Support
Description: Individual will join our help desk department, providing high quality, end user support as needed in our high volume call center. Will develop a working knowledge of LMS state of the art data entry on various platforms with functions in multiple applications including A/P, timekeeping, disbursements, billing and GL. Will specialize in all aspects of trouble shooting and identifying issues with software.
Requirements: Excellent customer service skills/attitude – 2 to 3 years experience, Basic accounting and general office knowledge and experience, Computer skills with Windows and IBM platform knowledge, Ability to multi-task
Good analytical skills, Knowledge of law firms a plus.
